Sotogrande 2007 - Success Story

Success story Sotogrande “Spain” December 1st to 8th 2007

This Trip was organized by 4 “Croker Golf System” certified professionals.

  • Peter Croker             Australian PGA        Author of  “The Hit and Path to Better Golf books”
  • Nicky Rombaldi        Irish PGA based in South Dublin
  • Thierry Rombaldi     Swiss PGA Based in Zurich,
  • Herman Egger           Austrian PGA based in Pertigau (Insbruck)

The students came from Ireland, Switzerland and Germany. They enjoyed the beautiful weather as much as the very intensive program set for them by the 4 professional.

From 9 to 1pm each morning, the focus was to improve and fines tune all aspects of the game, using Peter’s “ Step by Step Program” at Almenera/Sotogrande.Putting, chipping, pitching, sand shots, and full swing.

The student developed the hand/hip coordination leading to a full shoulder turn with much less body stress.
With the help of the video analysis, each student had a chance to better understand and work on their swing in detail.

Peter Croker, Herman Egger, Nicky and Thierry Rombaldi, worked with the students on appropriate drills i.e. the Table Edge Drill, and set individual specific goals for each student in order to improve there golf swing.

In the afternoon, we all played between 9 and 18 holes, on some magnificent golf courses,

  • Almenera Golf Club, Sotogrande, Alcaidesa, San Roque and the highlight of the week Valderama.

Every student had than a chance to test their ability and learned from the pros golf course strategy, tactique and routine.

On the last days tournament” Stroke Play” was held at Almenera Golf-Club and was won by our very own Irish Student, Pat O’Brien who played the best score of his short career, shoting 94, improving his hdcp by 5 shots.
